You finally found the right clubs. You spent the offseason working tirelessly on your swing. But the only thing you seem to have mastered is the art of the mishit. Now, while your swing may not be as graceful as Tiger’s, and maybe you're still getting used to your clubs, perhaps what you really need at ths point is to try out some new golf balls. As always, you’ve come to the right place.
GolfTest USA recently tested 19 golf balls from nine manufacturers. We will report on a sampling of 10 balls. The testers, a sampling of 80 golfers with varying handicaps, were asked to play a round with each ball and be fair and unbiased in their evaluations while rating several criteria on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best. Test administrators then rated the control and accuracy they felt each golfer displayed with each ball during the test. Those rating were then combined with the golfers’ own rankings to come up with the final results for each golf ball. The overall average is a compilation of all categories combined.
