Here, Boy!

Here, Boy!

Golf Tips Magazine

While one might suspect a golf ball with a radar beacon would wind up as a prop in a golf comedy such as Caddyshack or Happy Gilmore, RadarGolf has proved that such a thing is anything but fantasy.  The RadarGolf System ($249) features what the company calls a Ball Positioning System (BPS) that uses a radar frequency to detect the whereabouts of specially designed RadarGolf balls with a microchip embedded in the ball’s core.  Via a handheld device, the BPS system detects from as far as 100 feet from the location of the golf ball by using both sound and an LCD display.  Golfers can locate their golf ball from nearly anywhere on dry land.  With the handheld device comes a dozen two-piece golf balls, an instructional DVD and accessories for the device and golf ball storage.  Additional golf balls sold separately.  Visit www.radargolf.com for more information.
